The other day I received a phone call from my good friend, and he told me he was confused about his future. He thought everything he did was meaningless, and he did not want to do anything. To kill time, he just played computer games all day in his dormitory.
I don’t want to criticize him, but I think that to deal with the problem with negative method is not correct. The phenomenon that most students are confused about their life is very common in colleges, and the reason is that they don’t know what they really want in their life. Since college life is quite different from the life in high school, some students can’t adapt to the new study life. In high school, most of the students work hard just for one goal: to enter the college. But in college, we have much more free time, and different people have different goals, we must learn to arrange our time reasonably to achieve our goals. So the most important point is establishing goals. If one has a definite goal, he will try his best to realize it.
College is designed to be a time of personal growth and expansion. No doubt, it is an experience that contributes to our growth and maturity. And as an adult, we should find out what we truly love to achieve deep in our heart, so that we can project our future clearly. But we must realize that Rome was not built in one day, we should realize our dream step by step. Therefore, we can set several short-term goals, by achieving these short-term goals one after another with patience and consistence, I’m sure we can realize our dream eventually.
